IHLPP marking and feedback
Some marking of practice essays and feedback to students will be required if your tutorials are in Term 1. Students write a practice essay of 1,000 words on a topic from one of the sections taught in Term 1. The essay submission deadline is Monday 15th November - the first day after reading week. Essays are submitted and marked online via Moodle/Turnitin. You will be expected to (a) mark the practice essays written on the section for which you taught the tutorials within three weeks of the essay submission date and (b) provide two hours of oral feedback (either on site or remotely) to students on their practice essays during the last week of Term 1 (w/c 12th December). Feedback is due three weeks following the essay submission date. Please agree the schedule for your feedback session with the Teaching & Learning Administrator at the start of term and communicate this to students via Moodle. A separate payment for marking and feedback will be made in Term 2, based on £7.50 per essay plus the two hours of feedback calculated at the hourly rate stated above.
