Studijų dalyku siekiama supažindinti studentus su svarbiausiais lietuvių kalbos fonetikos ir gramatikos dėsningumais bei išmokyti juos pritaikyti. Fonetikos dalyje aptariami svarbiausi raidžių ir garsų skirtumai, ilgieji ir trumpieji priebalsiai, dvibalsiai ir mišrieji dvigarsiai, skardieji ir duslieji, kietieji ir minkštieji priebalsiai, minkštumo ženklas, šių elementų vartosena ir derinimas rišlioje kalboje. Studentai atlieka interaktyvias praktines užduotis naudodamiesi platforma tartis.vdu.lt. Gramatikos dalyje aptariama daiktavardžio, veiksmažodžio ir būdvardžio paradigmų įvairovė, kiekiniai ir kelintiniai skaitvardžiai, asmeniniai įvardžiai, valdymo ir derinimo ryšiai. Gramatikos žinias studentai įtvirtina atlikdami praktines užduotis.

Short course annotation in English

The aim of the course is to introduce the most important regularities of Lithuanian phonetics and grammar and teach the students to apply them. The phonetics part discusses the most important differences between letters and sounds, long and short vowels, diphthongs and mixed diphtongs, voiced and voiceless, hard and soft consonants, the sign of softness, the usage and matching of these elements in the cohesive language. Students perform interactive practical tasks using the platform tartis.vdu.lt. The grammar part discusses the inflectional paradigms of nouns, verbs and adjectives, cardinal and ordinal numerals, personal pronouns, place and time prepositions, the main rules of goverment and agreement. Students acquire grammar knowledge by doing practical exercises.

Finished or being enrolled in Lithuanian for Foreigners A1 course.

1. To be able to describe the difference between letters and sounds, long and short vowels in Lithuanian, distinguish them in spoken language.

2. To be able to differentiate and recognize diphthongs and mixed diphthongs in Lithuanian, distinguish them listening to spoken language.

3. To be able to differentiate voiced and voiceless, hard and soft consonants, describe the function of the sign of softness and apply it reading/speaking.

Criteria of learning achievement evaluation

Requirements for the minimal positive evaluation of the course:

1. Manages to describe at least the most relevant features of the usage of discussed elements (letters, sound, vowels, and consonants) in the cohesive language.

2. Correctly uses the main grammar categories of nouns: nominative, genitive, and accusative of the most common paradigms (-as, -is/-ys, -a).

3. Correctly uses at least the present tense of verbs and nominative case of adjectives.

4. Correctly uses at least five different time and place prepositions.

5. Correctly uses at least nominative of cardinal numerals.

6. Correctly uses at least nominative of personal pronouns.
