Viewing by Tier of work, target age, AfC Bands etc; Identifying gaps in services/NHS Board areas. Any new areas of work are added to the data collection and publication to reflect developments in the service.

Examining the impact of staff on service and population. There is a map available in Workbook1b for clarity when comparing data across NHS Boards.

Bidding & Funding for Additional posts, for example the CAMHS funding bid where detailed information about CAMHS staff was provided to the government, which helped gain £6.5 million of additional funding to support training places and specialist CAMHS psychology posts.

Work with colleagues in Scottish Government Health Directorate, NES and NHS Boards to consider developing a “national workforce planning model” (similar to a model developed in NHS Wales) to support NHS Boards in scenario planning and service redesign. Used to view cost & cost projections, as well as size and shape of the current and future workforce.
