Although I was raised in the Bakersfield, I was born in Punjab, India. I came to the U.S. on October 14, 1988. I lived in Lamont and Arvin prior to moving to the “big” city. After graduating from Ridgeview in 2003, I went to UC San Diego as a Bioengineering major. After a year, I decided to move back to town due to family obligations and changed my major to Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. In the summer of 2005, I interned at Target as an Executive Team Leader. Upon completion of my internship, I was offered a full-time position conditionally based upon graduation. However, I was offered another position as a Purchasing Specialist at Aera Energy. After graduating with my B.S. in June 2006, I accepted Aera’s offer. I have been working there ever since. After taking a year off from school, I decided to go back and get my MBA. I am still unsure where I am going in my career, but I am currently happy where I am at. In my personal life, I have the perfect baby in the world. He is a 6 pound Yorkshire Terrier, and the love of my life. I love to do nothing and relax, shop, or travel in my spare time. I have been trying to be more active and start bike riding as well as snowboarding (haven’t been successful). One of my biggest dreams (which everybody always thinks I am weird for it) is to own my own ranch/farm (hopefully a few hundred acres). My parents are farmers, and I grew up as one too. I absolutely love the open land, trees, fresh air, and the simple life. I know there are downsides to it, but it is my dream.
