Estimadas alumnas, un saludo cordial para cada una de ustedes. Espero se encuentren bien junto a sus familias.

Para comenzar, haré las siguientes preguntas: Could you go out last weekend? Can you play any musical instrument? I would like a cup of coffee. ¿Pueden visualizar qué tienen en común todas estas oraciones??

…los verbos modales! Recordemos entonces que todas estas palabras tienen algo en común…y que es…todas llevan el verbo en infinitivo, y todas siguen la misma regla, tienen el mismo orden en afirmativa, interrogativa y negativa. Entonces, ¿qué tienen de diferente?? Lo que expresan, algunas indican probabilidad, obligación, dan consejo, etc. Según lo que queramos decir, es el modal que usaremos.

I.- Complete con CAN/CAN’T, COULD/COULDN’T. Lea bien antes de completar, fíjese en el contexto para poder definir qué modal es.

Bien, no debemos olvidar que dependiendo de lo que queramos expresar, obligación, posibilidad, hacer un ofrecimiento, etc., es el verbo modal que vamos a usar. SIN OLVIDAR QUE EL VERBO QUE LO ACOMPAÑA SIEMPRE VA NORMAL! See you next class.
