Sample Policy


Refusal of Care/Transport


Purpose:

The purpose of this policy is to describe the procedure for accepting a patient’s refusal of care under Wis. Stat. § 256.12 (8), Exception to Treatment, and Wis. Admin. Code § DHS 110.35 (2) (e) 4.


PROCEDURE:


A. Patient is 18 Years of age or older and refuses treatment or transport:

B. Patient is under 18 years of age and refuses treatment or transport:
