Job Title: Finance Business Analyst
Grade: E
Department: CAF Bank
Main purpose of job:
To work closely with colleagues in Finance and the CAF Bank Transformation Project, helping to shape the functional and non-functional business requirements to deliver the project.
Responsible to: Finance Manager and Program Lead (dual reporting line)
Budgetary responsibilities: N/A

Key Job Responsibilities:
Business Requirements Analysis
Leading/managing business analysis tasks relating to the Transformation programme eg clarify and detail specific finance and finance reporting requirements. These are likely to cover GL mapping, treasury/investment and lending processes, ALCo and regulatory reporting and management information/statutory reporting.
Participate in Transformation programme design workshops in relation to detailed design of the Finance operating model
Leading/managing Finance processes, related to meeting Finance requirements under the new core banking system
Leading/managing data analysis and data mapping activities associated with migration to the new core banking system
Leading the finance element of the migration to the new core banking system, as part of the overall Transformation programme.
Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and identify the underlying true needs.
Drive and challenge sponsors on their assumptions to ensure that a full list of accurate requirements are gathered.
Explaining banking and financial systems to non technical people.
Lead analysis of existing end-to-end business processes and data-flows
Manage preparation of standard documentation as needed for the Change and Project process.
Business Relationship Management
Manage and lead the formulation of business requirements. This will include building strong business relationships and developing a sound knowledge of business functional areas.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with colleagues to support them through the Change and Project process.
Work with project sponsor to interpret customer needs.
Manage any interaction with our customers in accordance with the core values of CAF.
Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers), architecture and development team through which requirements flow.
Mentoring and Collaboration
Manage and lead meetings / workshops with architects, developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical solution.
Manage and lead meetings where trade-offs between requirements, solutions and estimates are discussed and agreed.
Understanding CAF’s strengths and weaknesses and suggesting appropriate areas for improvement (in general or in relation to specific propositions).
Support the business sponsor as the lead finance representative.
Support Finance managers periodically with Finance responsibilities as required and if time allows.
