LDD expands into U.S. market with

unique online title insurance platform

Initiative with U.S.-based ‘Attorneys Title Guaranty Fund’ (ATGF)
will deliver to clients unprecedented new levels of service and accuracy



TORONTO (Sept. 4, 2008) - Canada’s LawyerDoneDeal Corp., a leading provider of Web-based business services, announced today that it has expanded its services into the United States with the launch of a new online title insurance platform designed for U.S. real estate attorneys.


LawyerDoneDeal Corp. (LDD) has launched a new initiative with U.S.-based title insurance company Attorneys Title Guaranty Fund, Inc. (ATGF), in which LDD will provide ATGF and its agents a customized, Internet-based title insurance distribution and underwriting platform under the brand name ‘EPIC™’ (Electronic Policy Issuance Capability).


“The new EPIC platform creates virtual underwriting capabilities that give attorneys an unprecedented new level of convenience, speed and cost savings,” said ATGF president Christopher J. Condie, noting that EPIC is designed specifically for bar-related title insurers and their attorneys. “We have for the first time eliminated the need to order or maintain policy forms, replacing traditional transaction methods with online creation and delivery of policies, as well as related documents and data, plus online payment capabilities.”


“ATGF participates in tens of thousands of transactions each year involving complex and constantly changing U.S. real estate laws”, Condie noted.


“With the new EPIC online platform, attorneys will be even better prepared to deliver service that protects buyers and sellers against hidden or unforeseen title problems that can jeopardize real estate investments,” he added. “ATGF has more than 45 years of experience in real property transactions and this initiative represents a true breakthrough in improved service, efficiency and costs for legal professionals and their clients.”


The newly designed EPIC platform, available to U.S. users through AttorneyDoneDeal, will permit users to prepare ATGF commitments, policies, endorsements and closing documents, including closing protection letters, all online using unique password access. The EPIC system offers a significant level of formatted, ‘virtual underwriting’ that lets users write fast and accurate commitments and policies regardless of their experience level. EPIC is the only online program connected directly to ATGF and its underwriter/agent network.
