TELEPHONE CALLS – Telephone calls (both receiving & returning) to the Doctors are usually done at the end of the session.


VISITING SPECIALISTS are available in some fields.


TEACHING PRACTICE – The practice has been selected as a training practice with the Murray City Country GP Training (MCCC). Under this program GP Registrars work at the practice, with each individual Registrar staying for either six or twelve month terms. Medical Students from the Flinders University Adelaide and Deakin University – Geelong, also join our practice for a twelve month period. Other medical students also visit the practice on a regular basis.


PRIVACY POLICY – Your personal health information is confidential and handled in accordance with Federal and Victorian privacy legislation. It is stored securely on our computer system and not disclosed to anyone outside the Clinic except other health providers involved in your care. Some personal information is included on your accounts to enable you to obtain rebates from Medicare, Work Cover etc. A copy of our privacy policy is displayed at Front Reception. If you would like a copy of the policy please ask a member of staff.


COMPLAINTS – The partners are always looking for ways to improve services to patients.

8.00 am – 6.00 pm Monday to Friday

8.00 am – 12.00 noon Saturday


CHOICE OF DOCTOR is an important feature of private medical practice. We have instructed our staff to offer you the first available appointment with the doctor of your choice. There may be times when an alternative doctor can meet your needs more conveniently and you are welcome to ask our staff to help you select an alternative doctor, for example if your usual doctor is unavailable for any reason.


APPOINTMENTS – consultation is by appointments. Standard appointments are 10 – 15 minutes. Longer appointments are recommended for complex medical problems, employment or insurance medicals etc.


OUT OF SURGERY:- Home visits are available in special circumstances.


AFTER HOURS SERVICE is available 24 hours of the day for emergency care. One doctor is rostered on call for emergency care with a colleague available to assist if demand warrants.


Doctor will attend the clinic for emergency cases only at the following times:


Monday – Friday 8.00 pm

Saturdays 4.00 pm

Sundays, Public Holidays 10.00 am and 4.00 pm

DOCTORS’ CONSULTATION FEES


FEES are determined on the basis of time, skill and responsibility involved in the service provided, having due regard for economic factors affecting medical practice.


If you have any difficulty in meeting our account or any query regarding the account, please contact our accounts office by letter or by telephone (03) 55722422 during office hours.


Our staff are experienced in Medical Claims and are always ready to help you.

Item 23 rebate $37.60


Longer and more detailed consultations will be billed under item 36, Long consultation level C, $150.50, or item 44, Prolonged consultation level D, $229.50 with discounts for same day payment and special circumstances. After Hours Standard level B consultation, $122.10, Home Visits Standard level B, $185.50. Other services, ECGs, Spirometry, Audiogram etc may be charged.
