Aggie Weston’s Articles of Faith

  1. Aggie Weston’s Staff and Trustees affirm that we have a relationship with the living Christ as our Lord and Saviour and are actively seeking to see that relationship grow and develop as we serve others.

  1. We regard The Bible as inspired by God and given for our thorough guidance in life (2 Timothy 3: 16-17).

  1. The Bible records God’s dealings with his chosen people throughout history, and clearly records his standards and routines for healthy living (Exodus 20: 8-11).

  1. All have fallen short of God’s standards but, by his grace, he declares us ‘not guilty’ if we repent and believe in Jesus Christ who has paid the penalty for us (Romans 3: 23-24; Luke 15: 21).

  1. Jesus Christ achieved this by being born into our world as a human, accepting an unjust conviction, dying a criminal’s death, and then being raised up by God as Lord in heaven (Philippians 2: 6-11; Hebrews 7: 25).

  1. We cannot earn or take credit for our salvation; it is utterly the result of God’s kindness – a gift! (Ephesians 2: 8-9).

  1. We believe that Jesus' blameless life is the example to follow (Ephesians 5: 1-2).

  1. We believe in the Trinity and pray that all believers will share the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13: 14).

  1. The Holy Spirit will empower our proclamation of the Gospel, and convince people that it is from God (1 Corinthians 2: 4-5).

  1. We believe in the resurrection and judgement of the dead, and in eternal life for those who hear the message of Jesus Christ and believe in him (John 5: 28-29).
