ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor and material necessary for Contract No. 1 – Bridgeport Gateway Green Infrastructure Enhancement Project will be received by the Town of Sullivan Offices, 7507 Lakeport Road, Chittenango, New York 13037 until 10:00 a.m. local time on March 25, 2020 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids will be received for the following Contract:
Contract No. 1 – Bridgeport Gateway Green Infrastructure Enhancement Project
Base Bid: The work under the Base Bid shall include all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the General Construction and Green Infrastructure improvements identified as the Base Bid in the Contract Drawings for the Bridgeport Gateway Green Infrastructure Enhancement Project and per the limits shown on drawings PL-2, PL-3 and PL-4. The General Construction includes, but is not limited to, demolition and removal, clearing and grubbing, excavation, backfill, grading, asphalt pavement, signage, striping, underground utilities, drainage, planting, bio retention, landscape restoration, and all other related items.
Additive Bid Item No. 1: The work under Additive Bid Item No. 1 all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the General Construction and Green Infrastructure improvements identified as the Additive Bid 1 in the Contract Drawings for the Bridgeport Gateway Green Infrastructure Enhancement Project and per the limits shown on drawing PL-1. The General Construction includes, but is not limited to, demolition and removal, clearing and grubbing, excavation, backfill, grading, asphalt pavement, signage, striping, underground utilities, drainage, planting, bio retention, landscape restoration, and all other related items.
The Town of Sullivan will be responsible for the following items outside of the contract:
The Town will dedicate up to four (4) 6-wheel dump trucks, including drivers, to contractor for hauling debris and aggregates away from the project site.
The Town will haul soil mix for bioretention areas to a stockpile area behind the Volunteer Fire Department, but the contractor must use their account and provide the material list with quantities to the Town.
The Town will purchase and haul crushed stone for porous asphalt to a stockpile area behind the Volunteer Fire Department, but the contractor must use their account and provide the material list with quantities to the Town.
The Town will purchase, hall, and install hot mix asphalt for all driveways and repair areas.
Contract Documents, including Advertisement For Bids, Information For Bidders, Labor and Employment, Additional Instructions, Bid Documents, Agreement, General Conditions, General Requirements, Specifications, Contract Drawings and any Addenda, may be examined at no expense at the following locations:

Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online by registering with the Issuing Office at www.bartonandloguidiceplanroom.com. Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the Issuing Office’s website as “zipped” portable document format (PDF) files. The Issuing Office charges a non-refundable fee of $49.00 (Forty Nine Dollars) to download documents. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.
Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for
Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his or her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof.
This is a tax exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Town prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract(s).
The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract(s).
This project is funded in part through the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation Green Innovation Grant Program. Bidders must adhere to the Program Requirements and Bid Packet for Construction Contracts, as well as the NYSEFC Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business utilization requirements.
The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
