Request:

Dear FOI team,

I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act.

Please would you provide me with:

1. The top 10 payouts in damages for compensation, by amount settled for,

in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 financial years, relating to subsidence from

trees.

For each instance, please provide:

a) The financial year in which the claim was settled

b) The amount paid to the claimant in compensation, including any legal fees

c) The first half of the postcode (e.g. M4, NE12) containing the

property/properties concerned

Please would you provide separate tables for both financial years. This should

result in 20 amounts in total, showing the top 10 highest payouts in

settlements for compensation claims for each

financial year.

I would like the figures to refer to claims relating to all trees for which

the council is responsible.

Please provide the the figures in soft copy .xls (spreadsheet) format. If

you require any clarification of any part of this request, please do not

hesitate to contact me. I would be grateful for an acknowledgment of this

request.
