JSC "URALASBEST" is one of the largest enterprises in the world for the extraction of chrysotile-asbestos. The plant accounts for more than 25 percent of the world production of chrysotile. 77% of the chrysotile produced is supplied to 23 countries, including Vietnam. Export zones of Ural asbestos: South-East Asia, Africa, South America, Cuba, CIS countries. Age of the enterprise - more than 120 years.

The plant produces more than 30 grades of chrysotile. The main areas of application of chrysotile:

- production of chrysotile-cement building materials: flat and wavy pressed sheets;

- production of chrysotile cement pipes;

- manufacture of textile and chrysotile products.

The combine works on the basis of the richest Bazhenovsky deposit, which has been explored for more than one hundred and fifty years.

Sphere of activity: Extraction and enrichment of asbestos ores, production and sale of chrysotile asbestos of all groups and brands. Manufacture of non-metallic building materials from wastes of asbestos ore dressing (crushed stone, sand, coarse-grained powder for soft roofing, ready sand-gravel mixes and other building materials). Manufacture of heat-insulating materials.

Negotiations on ban on the use of chrysotile (since August of this year, shipments of chrysotile to Vietnam ceased), purpose of the visit is to clarify the situation with the further resumption of supplies of chrysotile asbestos to Vietnam.

Expanding export of produced products, finding new partners.

Zavod Medsintez specializes in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. Currently, the plant produces infusion solutions and finished dosage forms of recombinant human insulin. Zavod Medsintez is one of the first in Russia to have established industrial production of finished dosage forms of recombinant human insulin that meet GMP EC requirements.

The plant has implemented the Quality Management System according to MS ISO 9001:2008. The structure of Quality unit, including quality control and quality assurance departments, is fully compliant with GMP standards. All the key personnel have had practical training at Bayer AG in Leverkusen and Berlin. All the employees have had training in GMP requirements at external agencies and directly at the plant.

Products: The main product is Rosinsulin® in cartridges, vials and pre-filled injection pens manufactured at the workshop for recombinant human insulin production. Additionally, the plant has a workshop producing I.V. solutions in the amount sufficient to satisfy 20% of Russia’s demand. The manufacturing line includes Sodium Chloride Solution (0.9%), Glucose Solution (5, 10, 20%), Ringer Solution, etc.
