Cargo Delivery Requirements (Direct Ship-via AOB):

High Cost Rental/Vendor Toolboxes must be notified 21 days prior to shipment date delivered to Altens Operation Base by 1500 before day of Vessel Departure.
Both Loose Material Off Hold and On Hold in SAP (Direct Ship), for Picking/Packing by Altens Operations Base (AOB), must be delivered to AOB 21 working days before Vessel Departure with a physical copy of the filled out ‘Shell UK E-Packing Slip’ attached.

Please note: SAP Material Deliveries for pick/pack by Peterson Warehouse do not require prior notification. Anything outside of this requires a completed copy of the ‘Shell UK E-Packing Slip’ this must be sent via email to Peterson [email protected] (IAW HMRC Union Customs Code). Upon Delivery to AOB, all Equipment and Material must be accompanied by:

The completed Shell UK E-Cargo Booking Form/Packing list and Delivery Note (as applicable).

Where applicable:

Vendor/Contractor must provide Multi Modal Dangerous Goods Declarations (ADR & IMDG) to cover full journey of Cargo to designated End Destination (Offshore Location). Air Cargo is covered below.

Cargo Delivery Requirements (direct Ship via TMB):

Notification of all containers must be given 7 days prior to the shipment date, via the ‘E-cargo Booking Form’ sent to Peterson Shipping ([email protected]).
Heavy/Abnormal Loads and Lifts – at least 14 days before Vessel Sailing. (Abnormal loads are over 4 tonnes or items requiring special/controlled lift from/to vehicle & vessel.)
Materials must be delivered by 1900 the day before the sailing and must be accompanied by the ‘E-cargo Booking Form’, along with cargo summary ticket and any other relevant paperwork.

Cargo Packaging Requirements:

In accordance with the Oil & Gas UK ‘Best Practice for the Safe Packing & Handling of Cargo to & from Offshore Locations’. The Vendor/Packer is responsible for ensuring:

Material is Safely Packaged/ Secured and Suitable for Transport to End Destination (Offshore Location).
Weights and Dimensions are clearly identified on Packaging (where weights and dimensions may cause handling issues or item is >25kg).
Dangerous Goods are packed, documented and identified according to relevant DG practice regulations (IMDG/ADR/IATA) for shipment to Offshore locations.
All packaging must be in according to the Shell packaging requirements, as per the terms and conditions. (see packaging requirements document)

Packing List/Delivery Note must be visible and clearly identified in a Packing Slip on the outside of the Package.

Airfreight Requirements:

Airfreight should be delivered to AOB at least 24 hours before scheduled flight departure along with all relevant paperwork and marked for the relevant installation.
If airfreight is going direct to ACE it must be delivered at least 2 hours before the flight delivery time.
Maximum weight for airfreight shall not exceed 25Kg.
All Dangerous Goods must be packaged and labelled in accordance with IATA regulations.
Foam packaging chips must not be used as packaging media.

Cargo Rejection:

Peterson (on behalf of Shell UK Ltd) reserve the right to reject cargo if deemed unsuitable for safe Offshore movement or storage, or if cargo does not comply with the aforementioned standards and regulations.

These reasons may include but are not limited to the following points:

Lack of Delivery Note with package/cargo.
No Destination, Purchase Order or Consignee on Paperwork.
Packaging is damaged or unsuitable or considered unsafe for offshore transport.
Dangerous good deliveries that are incorrectly packaged, labelled or marked.
