Llíria
preserves important remains of medieval wall that can be seen on the
streets Viriato and San Juan de Mata. It was made with mud ground.
It
was contructed to defend the Islamic medina of Lyria and converted
into a royal town after the Christian conquest in the thirteenth
century.
From
christian epoc remains a square tower, look, several battlements and
a canvas that were built on the basis of the old Arab wall tower.
On
the seventeenth century a part of the wall starts to be demolished
and some parts becomes to divide wall between them streets of
Dalt ¨ i ¨ les de Baix.
